Dr. Erin Aldridge is Concert Master of the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra and is Associate Professor of Violin and Director of Orchestras at UWS. She has had numerous solo performances and you can enjoy her music on Apple Music. Be sure to attend rehearsal to be part of this marvelous opportunity!

Sign up for the Adult Beginner String class at Hibbing Community Education and learn to be a world class cellist just like Yo-Yo Ma! ……Well maybe it isn’t quite that fast and easy. But it is very fun and you can join us in learning a string instrument as an adult beginner. You will be able to try a variety of string instruments. Cost of instrument rental is included in the class fee. You do not need to have a music background to participate.
Class will be held at the CC located at 214 E Howard St in Hibbing. See you there friend!
To register for second semester go to the Hibbing Community Education link (also found under the Resources tab). Rehearsals begin Monday, January 9th with the concert planned for April 24th. See you there!
CYO has settled in and feels very blessed to have been able to make this wonderful new space feel like home. Our great new location at 214 E Howard St is smack dab in the center of Hibbing and allows us to be an active part of the community. Join us in celebrating our new space with a ribbon cutting complete with punch & cupcakes!
Concert go-er’s come prepared to be blown away by the progress made by the students so far this year, the musical selections made by our outstanding Directors, and by the fantastic addition of our special guest- the Hibbing City Band.
Concert performers please arrive at the HHS library by 6:30, dressed in concert blacks, and carrying your music and instrument.

Beginning Wednesday September 28, from 6-7:30, at 214 E Howard St (Counter Point Financial office) you can join a group of beginners as they —and YOU—learn to play the string instrument of your choice at a progressive and enjoyable pace. Relish 6 consecutive weeks of group lessons and the rental of an instrument for only $60 for the entire 6 week session. A background in music is helpful, but is not required.

Thanks to the generosity of Counterpoint Financial, CYO will be practicing in a new location at 214 E Howard St, in Hibbing (right across from US Bank). This spacious location offers a large rehearsal space, lovely acoustics, and is perfectly positioned to facilitate the orchestra’s infusion into our community.
Our first rehearsal here will be Monday September 12th and we cannot be more excited!
